Roger Y. Reeves earned his master's in nursing informatics from the University of Utah, College of Nursing in 1996. Since graduation, Roger has worked in a variety of roles with health systems, vendors and consulting. These roles encompassed all phases of the systems development lifecycle from feasibility studies to system support. Roger is Board Certified in Nursing Informatics from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He is a member of the HIMSS, the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and Sigma Theta Tau International.
In 2010 Roger began teaching. Teaching Foundations of Health Care Informatics is an opportunity to share his excitement for the application of informatics to the clinical environment and lay a foundation for aspiring informaticians. At the other end of the spectrum Roger advises Informatics Practicum students as they prepare for an advanced practice role.
