Lynn Gilbert, PhD, RN, PNP-C

Dr. Gilbert teaches in our nationally ranked pediatric nurse practitioner program and practices and precepts in our faculty practice sites.  Her research interests include cardiovascular risks in children and lifelong health implications, cross-cultural and international child health.  Before coming to the University of Colorado Health Science Center in 1994, she worked and taught in Africa, then developed a pediatric primary care component for a community health service for medically indigent families in Colorado.  She is active on the steering committee for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners child overweight initiative (Healthy Eating and Activity Together) and as a child advocate at the local, state, and international level.

Dr. Gilbert precepts and practices one day a week in a faculty practice site for low-income families.
