Jessica Pettigrew, MSN, CNM, became CNM in 2009. While an undergraduate at McGill University Jessica conducted field-research in Mauritania. As a graduate student at Yale University she traveled Dominican Republic to complete field-work for her master's thesis. Since that time, she has worked at a birth center-based practice in Guam. There, she assisted hundreds of women from across the Pacific Islands give birth naturally surrounded by their families and friends. She also worked at a sexual-assault crisis center providing forensic medical exams to survivors of sexual assault.
In today's world, women are presented with sometimes overwhelming information about their health, especially during pregnancy. Jessica enjoys working with women to help them navigate the statistics, studies, and articles such that they may make decisions that are right for their families.
