Judy Murphy, RN, BSN, is Director of Application Development at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She is responsible for the systems that support all clinical areas and leads Aurora’s EHR (Electronic Health Record) implementation.  She has been in systems work for 20 years, involving extensive experience with all levels of project management in both custom program development and purchased vendor products, and is currently responsible for 120 analyst and programming staff.  Aurora is an integrated delivery network with 14 hospitals, 100 ambulatory centers and clinics, 3 home health agencies, and over 23,000 employees.

She is a member of HIMSS (Health Information Management Systems Society) and AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association), and is currently on the AMIA Board of Directors.  She has published and lectured nationally and internationally on the use of computers in healthcare.
