Jessica Howard became a certified nurse midwife in 2006. She joined the University Nurse Midwives in September, 2010, providing full-scope midwifery care to women throughout their lifespan. Prior to moving to Colorado, she worked as a CNM in a private practice in Salt Lake, Utah and at Planned Parenthood in Portland, Oregon for several years. Before becoming a Nurse-Midwife, Jessica obtained a master's degree in social work and worked at the University of Michigan Hospital in Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics and the Emergency Department.
She has served in the Peace Corps and has a strong interest in International Health. She hopes to pursue a degree in Public Health in the future and continue to work toward improving maternal and child outcomes globally, one mother and child at a time.
