Jennifer G. Hensley, EdD, MSN, CNM, WHNP, LCCE

Dr. Hensley is Coordinator of the Nurse-Midwifery Option. She teaches women's health across the lifespan at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her doctoral work focused on the use of standardized patients in objective standardized clinical scenarios (OSCEs) in the area of high-risk maternal-child health nursing. Currently she is focusing on sleep disorders during pregnancy, in particular, restless legs syndrome. Dr. Hensley is a member of the International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group. She maintains clinical expertise by practicing full-scope nurse-midwifery.

  • Dr. Hensley practices full-scope nurse-midwifery working with the under and non-insured at Aurora Nurse-Midwives. Her clinical practice allows for a diveristy of clinical sites for NMW students. Her expertise is diagnosis and treatment of restless legs syndrome during pregnancy. She is also works full-scope with the University Nurse-Midwives.
