Jennifer G. Hensley, EdD, MSN, CNM, WHNP, LCCE

Assistant Professor, Clinical Track; Nurse-Midwifery Option Coordinator

Dr. Hensley is Coordinator of the Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Options. She teaches women's health across the lifespan at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her doctoral work focused on standardized patients in high-risk OB objective standardized clinical scenarios (OSCEs). Currently she is focusing on sleep disorders in women across the lifespan. Her specialty is Willis-Ekbom Disease/Restless Legs Syndrome during pregnancy. Dr. Hensley is a member of the International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group and the Medical Advisory Board of the WED/RLS Foundation. She maintains clinical expertise by practicing full-scope nurse-midwifery and caring for women referred to her for specific sleep disorders.

  • Dr. Hensley practices full-scope nurse-midwifery working with the under and non-insured at Aurora Nurse-Midwives. Her clinical practice allows for a diversity of clinical sites for NMW students. Her expertise is diagnosis and treatment of restless legs syndrome during pregnancy. She is also works full-scope with the University Nurse-Midwives.
