Dr. Raterink is the option coordinator for the ANP option of the Masters program. She has an interest in critical thinking both in nursing education and practice and is working on a rubric for evaluation of students’ development of their critical thinking skills throughout their masters education. Her practice is at AF Williams Family Medicine clinic where she sees adult patients with primary care and chronic disease issues. She is also the designated diabetes care person and offers patients education on self management using the Chronic Care Model and Change theory. In addition, AF Williams has group visits for their diabetic patients once a month. She is currently serving on the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculty, Faculty Development committee.
