Ms. Schwartz is the CNM Service Director for the Center for Midwifery and University Nurse Midwives at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Her boutique midwifery practices provide comprehensive, full scope health care to women throughout their lifespan. Prior to working at UCD, she served as the Associate Medical Director at Metropolitan Community Provider Network (MCPN). Technically, Ms, Schwartz specializes in ultrasound and cervical biopsies. She is Treasurer of the Service Director’s Network; committee member and author of the Quality of Standards and Practice, Quality Management Section of the American Academy of Nurse Midwives; and a doctoral student.

She established the Midwifery Peer Review Steering Committee and participates in risk management activities. She founded the CNM Journal Club to disseminate current evidence to the midwives in clinical practice. Ms. Schwartz is a long standing member of the Credentials Committee and Collaborative Practice at UCH. She has been integral in expanding midwifery services in Colorado.
