Esther Gliman-Kehrer completed her midwifery training in 2002. She joined the University Nurse Midwives in November 2010, and she is now providing full-scope midwifery care to women throughout their lifespans. Prior to moving to Colorado, she worked as a certified nurse midwife and a family nurse practitioner with a private practice in Laramie, Wyoming. Before becoming a nurse-midwife, Gilman-Kehrer obtained a post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Wyoming, and she practiced as an FNP in private practice for 2 years. Her master's degree is in maternal-child community health care from the University of Wyoming. Her thesis work was in the area of breastfeeding. Prior to her entry into advanced practice, she worked in labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery and pediatrics.
Gilman-Kehrer is presently completing her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) at the University of Colorado and has a particular interest in weight management in pregnancy.
