part of the RNA Bioscience Initiative, Informatics Fellows will support
computational analysis of data generated by and in collaboration with
the center. We are targeting people who have recently finished a Ph.D.
and want to gain significant experience in computational skills. The
positions will be for 2 years, with the possibility to extend to a 3rd
year. Salaries will be commensurate with experience, but will be above
NIH payscale for postdocs.
A major role
analysts is to support informatic analysis of grants given out by the
Center to other investigators. We view this as a unique opportunity to be involved in a variety of
different projects and gain diverse computational expertise, as well as
an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to and be an author on a
variety of different projects.
Analysts work together to
useful software for the community, will be responsible for
developing and teaching coursework, and will teach short-courses
on specific methods. Finally the analysts will have
free time (20%) to work on projects of their own that benefit the
mission of the center.Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae and the contact information for
3 people who will provide letters of reference.
Materials should be submitted at CU Careers.
We review applications on a rolling basis, and the search will remain open until the positions are filled.2
