is a junior at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Creative Writing. She plans on graduating in the spring of 2015, upon which she hopes to pursue a career in either pediatrics or neurology. With aspirations of one day joining Doctors Without Borders, a humanitarian-aid organization dedicated to providing medical treatment to individuals suffering from endemic diseases in developing countries, she hopes that UPP will broaden her understanding of the health disparities underserved populations face. Brianna enjoys volunteering at the Soup Kitchen, hiking, rock climbing, and writing. As a current Reach Your Peak scholar and member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, she hopes to apply what she learns during her internship in conjunction with her previous experiences to work towards minimizing health care disparities and providing healthcare for underserved populations.
