Becky BreauxBecky Breaux, MS, OTR, ATP, is a Clinical Instructor for Assistive Technology Partners, with over 16 years of clinical experience working as an occupational therapist and educator.  Ms. Breaux has a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She is also a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP).  Ms. Breaux came to ATP in 2007 from the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, where she worked as an assistive technology consultant and adjunct clinical faculty member of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. At ATP she provides wheelchair seating and mobility assessments and general motor access assessments for indivduals of all ages and with a variety of disabilities.  In addition, she works as a consultant to the SWAAAC  projects, assisting with trainings and school-based assessments for students in the Colorado public schools.  Ms. Breaux presents on a variety of topics related to assistive technology as part of ATP’s education program.  Presently, much of her teaching focuses on the motor access assessment.  Ms. Breaux has worked to develop protocols and assessment forms in this area of practice for the past three years.  Her research interests include looking at the effects of powered mobility on young children with locomotor disability, and determining more objective ways to measure the movement capabilities of people with abnormal movement patterns.
