Take Preliminary Examination Parts I and II. Date is set by Graduate School.

• CSDV 7670: Advanced Topics Course (optional*), units vary by course

(*must take one Advanced Topics Course per year and register for minimum of 5 credit hours in Fall and minimum of 5 credit hours in Spring)

Note: We recommend that students take their comprehensive exam during the summer of the 2nd year, but the exam must be completed by the end of January 1 of the third year.
