The Given Institute began hosting retreats and conferences in Aspen's historic West End in 1972. The institute became the site of numerous national and international conferences.
The institute also has presented public lecture series, seminars, fairs and workshops throughout the year. The presentations created an opportunity for local citizens to interact one-on-one with the outstanding visiting faculty.
