I am a Colorado native through and through! Born and raised in Littleton, CO, I stayed in town to complete undergrad at the University of Denver, majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience (not as nerdy as it sounds, I promise!) with minors in Spanish and Leadership Studies.  I then took a year off to work for Kaiser Permanente doing healthcare administration around the new Medicare quality initiatives.  I am going into Internal Medicine and I am planning on completing a Geriatric fellowship +/- a Palliative/Hospice Care fellowship.  If you didn't guess it already, I LOVE old people! They're the cutest. Anyway, I also got married during my 3rd year Psych rotation and I would be happy to talk about that experience to anyone considering having a major life event like a wedding during rotations.  My husband works in Boulder, so we live in Broomfield and I can also give advice about commuting to school and living outside of Aurora/Denver.    I am a big fan of a work-life balance and I strive to spend as much time as I can with my family, husband, friends and my dog Lexi (a shelter dog with Addison's disease I adopted in 1st year). I also enjoy running, snowboarding, playing soccer, napping, Bronco football, reading nerdy books like Harry Potter, and watching tv shows like Game of Thrones. Please don't hesitate to contact me, no question is too small! One last thing: GO EOLUS!

Jacey Loberg

I grew up in Kalispell, MT (way up in the northwest corner of the state!) and attended Carroll College, where I studied biology/chemistry and ran for the cross-country team. I will be doing a residency in general surgery, and plan on moving back to my hometown once my training is finished! Outside of school, you will find me hanging out with my husband and our "zoo" of animals, including a wirehaired pointing griffon dog, sphynx hairless cat, and pet rats.

Joel Roberts

Joel Roberts was born in Phoenix, grew up in Colorado Springs, and went to college at Azusa Pacific in Los Angeles where he majored in biochemistry. Before starting medical school, Joel taught outdoor education (science camp) to 5th and 6th graders for two years in the beautiful redwood forests of Santa Cruz.  In his spare time he enjoys rock climbing, singing, football, snowboarding, and spending time with his beautiful wife. His academic interests include educating, education theory, and public policy. He will be specializing in Anesthesiology.

Hey Everyone, I’m very excited to be a Eolus Advisor this year and can’t wait to get to know everyone in the Eolus college. I’m a typical Coloradan, born and raised, love the outdoors and all that jazz. I am not your typical medical student though. I have an engineering background, spent several years working as a bubble farmer in the mining industry and still spend 1 to 2 weeks a year working as an engineer (not recommended). When I grow up I’m hoping to become a pediatric anesthesiologist, or Med/Peds hospitalist. If you ask me in a week though, it might change. GO EOLUS!

I grew up in Longmont, CO outside of Boulder until going to college at Franklin and Marshall college in Pennsylvania.  After that I worked as an EMT for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia doing critical care transport.  I came back to Colorado for medical school at CU then was very excited to stay on at Denver Health’s residency in Emergency Medicine.  My special interest within Emergency Medicine is Critical Care and I plan to pursue fellowship training as an intensivist.  My ideal career would be a mixture of time spent between the ED and ICU.  Outside of the hospital I love to ski and hike and do anything outside. I am happy to help you along in any way I can in preparing for residency and finding the right specialty for you - just email me!
