Interested in becoming a Clinical Instructor (CI) or Center
Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE)?
The clinical faculty
for the University of Colorado Denver Physical Therapy Program has the
opportunity to facilitate meaningful learning experiences and to mold our
future colleagues. Mentoring students is a great way to keep you current with
the evidence and knowledge in our field. Not only will students bring a new
energy and infectious enthusiasm to your facility, but clinical teaching will
allow you to give back to the physical therapy profession. We invite you to
come aboard, find out what’s new in our online Clinical Instructors’ Community,
and receive discounts on our Clinical Instructor Update courses.

internships. The credentialing course assists in:
planning and preparing for physical therapy students during their
clinical education experiences
developing learning experiences
supporting ongoing learning through questioning and effective feedback
developing skills of performance evaluation
identifying and managing students with exceptional situations
identifying legal implications for clinical educators, including
issues presented by ADA legislation

Clinical Instructors Community
The Clinical Instructor’s Community is an online forum that assists our clinical
faculty in various ways. Whether watching a module on how to implement outcomes
measures into your clinical practice, how to answer clinical questions with
evidence, or reading the latest research posted on the site, you can pick up
some helpful hints to improve your mentoring skills and your clinical practice.
It also offers information on upcoming continuing education events, CI
Credentialing course offerings and suggestions for enhancing each of the four
clinical experiences for our students.
