Henry Silver Diversity Scholarship: The Henry Silver Diversity Scholarship is named in honor of the founder of our program. The scholarship is up to $3,500 awarded annually to incoming students to contribute to the learning environment and diversity of the program. Diversity as defined per our diversity plan embraces race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation and disability but also includes life experiences, record of service and employment and other talents and attributes that can enhance the scholarly and learning environment. Special consideration will be given to those students showing evidence of being from a diverse, educationally or economically disadvantaged background as well as students showing an outstanding commitment to community service contributing to diversity within organizations and helping diverse or indigent communities.
National Western Stock Show Scholarship: The National Western Stock Show Foundation Scholarship was established to encourage new CHA/PA graduates to settle in rural areas of Colorado or Wyoming. It provides annual awards of $4500, for a total of $13,500, to one CHA/PA Rural Track student. Preference shall be given to those applicants from rural communities in Colorado and Wyoming and/or to applicants who have participated in the National Western Stock Show. The recipient must complete a minimum of two years of post graduate work in rural areas of Colorado and Wyoming.
CHA/PA Advocacy Scholarship: The Commitment to Advocacy and Leadership Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding second year PA students with a demonstrated commitment to advocacy, leadership, and service within the PA profession.
CHA/PA Pediatric Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship varies annually and is offered to a 2nd year student with a commitment to practice in general pediatrics or pediatric subspecialties.
Global Health Track Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students who are selected for, and participate in, the global health track. Calls for application for the global health track will be made early in the 1st year for matriculated students.
CU Unite Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students who are selected for, and participate in, the CU Unite track. CU-Unite is committed to serving the uninsured and those with limited access to health care in urban areas. Students completing CU-UNITE will have a thorough understanding of healthcare disparities and inequities, the multifaceted role of the healthcare provider in urban communities, and knowledge about health issues of specific populations of patients in urban areas.
