Title

The impact of lateral ankle ligament injury and repair on tibiotalar joint mechanics

Project Description

We will be conducting a biomechanical study investigating the impact of CFL injury on subtalar instability and tibiotalar contact mechanics. We will also compare the most common arthroscopic repair technique with an open technique in terms of restoring normal ankle and subtalar joint mechanics. The project utilizes the instron, a motion capture assessment system, and tekscan pressure sensing system to assess joint mechanics.
