Title

Behavioral Interventions to Optimize Adherence to the Type 1 Diabetes Regimen and Improve Health Outcomes

Project Description

I have several behavioral intervention studies focused on optimizing adherence and glycemic control in individuals with type 1 diabetes. One study focuses on providing evidenced-based intervention to reduce extreme fear of hypoglycemia in mothers of adolescents with type 1 diabetes. Another study provides integrated medical and psychological care to adolescents who are high risk for complications. Appointments occur every 6 weeks through a combination of in-person and telemedicine appointments. In addition, a variety of laboratory procedures occur (endopat, blood draw). There are multiple opportunities for publications.
