Title

Strategy for the Prevention of Clinically-Apparent Rheumatoid Arthritis (StopRA)

Project Description

Rheumatoid arthritis can be predicted prior to the onset of arthritis through simple blood tests. We have built on this concept to launch a prevention trial for RA where individuals with high-risk serum markers for RA will be randomized to receive a drug or placebo to see if we can halt RA. This project is entitled 'Strategy for the Prevention of Clinically-Apparent RA, or StopRA. Graduate students, medical students, residents and fellows can participate in a variety of ways. More information about the trial is available at www.stop-ra.org and please contact Kevin Deane at Kevin.Deane@UCDenver.edu if you are interested.
