Title

Genetic determinant of idiopathic scoliosis

Project Description

My primary laboratory work is dealing with idiopathic scoliosis a  complex genetics disorder in orthopedics.  We have a large number of families affected with this disorder and work with exome sequencing, Sanger sequencing in an effort to define genes related to this disease.  Secondarily, I am a clinician scientist with multiple clinically related projects in pediatric orthopaedics at Childrens Hospital.  These can range from retrospective reviews to prospective study designs in relation to a variety of orthopedics disorders from congenital to acquired.
