Title

Targeting lung cancers with reduced Smad4 expression

Status

Open

Project Description

We are working to defined how defects in TGFb signaling promote lung carcinogenesis.  To this end we have developed several novel mouse lung cancer models and are in the process of characterizing the tumors produced by these models.  In addition, we have used human lung cancer samples to evalute the consequences of defective TGFb signaling in human lung cancer.   Available projects in the laboratory involve charcterizing mouse models and assess the behavior of tumor cells with defined TGFb signaling defects.
