Dr. Olson is a specialist in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment. He participates in several clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of anti-angiogenic agents such as ranibizumab and microplasmin for vitreoretinal diseases. Dr. Olson is also engaged in developing new technologies to restore light sensitivity in animals with degenerative retinal diseases.
