This project utilizes imaging and image related information to enable more efficient, accurate and safe patient care in radiology. Specific projects may include:
• Collection and analysis of radiation exposure data for determination of appropriate safety limits for repeat CT imaging of patients.
• Development of techniques for alignment of longitudinal Brain MRI images to aid determination of the presence of new lesions and change in size of existing lesions.
• Use of 3D imaging in US to better characterize tissue pathology.
Data can typically be manipulated outside of the clinic with guidance from the mentor. Discussions of results and guidance regarding the clinical significance is provided by a radiologist. For further information contact Dr Scherzinger.
