Title

A vaccine approach to treating Multiple Sclerosis

Status

Open

Project Description

We actually have 28 clinical studies and 4 major lab projects all related to multiple sclerosis or related diseases.  Our primary goals in the lab are to understand the mechanism of action of currently and soon to be available immunotherapeutic agents to provide a rationale basis for further treatment developments and to build on our prior experience with tolerance based vaccine approaches to try to develop a fusion protein and adjuvant combination that can prevent CNS disease progression in MS and, possibly, prevent the development of MS in high risk children.
