Title
Glucose sensing through a novel signal transduction pathway in yeast
Status
Open
Project Description
My lab’s main project is to understand how yeast cells sense and respond to the nutrient glucose. We discovered novel glucose receptors, and are working to understand how they signal glucose availability and regulate gene expression. We also employ genomics approaches to study mechanisms of transcriptional regulation.
This includes comparative genome analysis to identify transcriptional regulatory sequences, and development of methods to identify genomic targets of transcription factors.
