The University of Colorado School of Medicine Robert B. Rutherford Fellowship in Vascular Surgery (5+2) is a newly accredited fellowship with the first fellow having joined the program in July 2013 and our second fellow began in July 2014. This is a University Hospital/VA based, 2-year ACGME/RRC accredited vascular surgery training program. The training encompasses all aspects of vascular/endovascular surgery techniques and patient care. There is broad exposure to open and endovascular techniques as well as vascular medicine. Research, teaching, and scholarship are important components of training.
