The ACGME recently detailed the results of the recent Pediatric Urology external
site review in a letter to the Division Head. The communication informed the program that they received
full continued accreditation with no citations. Moreover, The
program received a commendation for its demonstrated compliance
with the ACGME's requirements for graduate medical education without
has undergone 2 external reviews since its inception. During those
assessments, they have received zero citations from the RRC and have
garnered positive (and infrequently given) commendations during both reviews.
If there is another urology training program with such a record
of accomplishment the division is unaware of it.
In a very short time, this program has become among the most admired in the country.
Gratitude also goes out to the Children's Hospital Colorado and the
Department of Surgery for their ongoing support of this fellowship and to
the Office of Graduate Medical Education for their continued support and
guidance. Additionally, thanks go to Beth Musser (Program
Coordinator for the Urology Residency Program) for her expert
advice, and Drs. Campbell, Vemulakonda and Cost for all they do on a
daily basis to make this program so very special.
