Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency

The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine is a new, three year program with initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).  

We provide training in general plastic surgery and the various subspecialties including:

  • ​General reconstructive surgery
  • Flaps
  • Wound healing
  • Burn surgery
  • Hand surgery
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Craniofacial surgery
  • Head & Neck reconstruction
  • Lower extremity reconstruction
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Pediatric plastic surgery
  • Microsurgery

 

Training will occur at University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado​, Denver Health Medical Center​, Rose Medical Center, and Denver Veteran's Administration.  Each participating institution is unique and essential in providing the necessary volume and variety of cases for optimal training.  All of the participating institutions are within a 10 mile radius of the sponsoring institution.
