Post Doctoral Fellows
Timur AlexeevTimur Alexeev received his Ph.D. from the
University of California at Davis in Aerospace Engineering with concentrations
in computational nonlinear fluid and structural dynamics. During his Ph.D.
work, Timur spent three summers as an intern at Boeing in the R&D and
Product Development departments where he was a member of the team working to
develop next generation short to medium range twinjet aircraft. After obtaining
his Ph.D., Timur chose to work
for Siemens Wind Power as a research engineer designing wind turbine blades and developing computation aeroelasticity
software. Following his work at Siemens, Timur joined the University of
California at San Diego as a Postdoctoral Scholar performing research in level
set optimization of aeroelastic wings for the Air Force. Timur joined the
department of Radiation Oncology in 2016 as a Postdoctoral Fellow and is
working on improving image quality in flat panel detector cone beam computed
tomography under the supervision of Dr. Cem Altunbas. Timur’s research
interests are in applied mathematics.
