IT Program Manager - Daniel Scannura
Dan has worked at the University of Colorado under the
Medical Physics department since March 2013. He grew up in Springfield,
Illinois where he spent his childhood playing in cornfields, swimming, camping,
and hanging out on Lake Springfield. Dan studied Computer Science at Augustana
College in Rock Island, IL and also received a minor in Jazz Studies where he
played saxophone and woodwinds for four years.
Since joining the University, Dan has helped the department
grow and provided application, desktop, and vendor support for RadOnc specific systems. He has
helped with the integration of both Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and
Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins as UCH becomes UCHealth.
When not running around the department, you can find Dan in the Rocky Mountains backcountry snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, travelling, taking pictures,
watching the Cubs, and playing saxophone in the Cancer Center lobby with his
Jazz combo the “Fitz Five”.
