Radiation Therapists


Rennette Timbrell  RT (T), M.Rad ( South Africa), Radiation Therapy Supervisor

 

Rennette received her education for Diagnostic Radiography and Radiation Therapy in Johannesburg, South Africa obtaining a Diploma in Radiography for both disciplines.

 

In 1987, she obtained a Higher Education Teaching Diploma with honors, from the University of South Africa and in 1991 she graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Master’s Degree in Radiation Therapy. She worked in both Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography in Johannesburg, South Africa and by 1991 held the position of Chief Radiation Therapist/Clinical Instructor at the Hillbrow Hospital, Johannesburg.

 

 In 1992, Rennette returned to teaching full time and took the position of Program Director for the Radiation Therapy Program at the Witwatersrand Technikon, Johannesburg, South Africa where she worked for 6 years before emigrating to the United States of America.

 

She worked at Shands Hospital Cancer Center, Gainesville, Florida as a Lead Radiation Therapist from 2000 to 2004 prior to moving to Colorado.

 

Rennette is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working at the University of Colorado Hospital since September, 2004.

 

 

Wes Aldridge RT (R) (T) (CT), Radiation Therapist Wes Aldridge R.T.(R)(T)(CT)

 

In May 1999, Wes graduated from the Brevard Community College, Melbourne, Florida with an Associate in Science Degree in Radiologic Technology with clinical education at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne and Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

 

Wes obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Phoenix in May 2004.

 

In May, 2006 he completed the Certificate in Radiation Therapy from the Halifax Health College of Radiologic Sciences with Clinical education from Halifax Health: Regional Oncology Center, Ormond Beach Oncology Center and New Smyrna Oncology Center in Florida.

 

Wes is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since December 2007.

 

 

Linda Dicks  RT (R) (T), Radiation Therapist

 

In 1993, Linda obtained an Associate's Degree in Business Management/Accounting from the Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana

 

In August 2003, Linda graduated from the School of Radiologic Technologists at St. Anthony's Hospital, Denver as a Radiologic Technologist ( Diagnostic Radiography).

 

In 2006, Linda graduated from the Spartenburg Technical College in Spartenburg, South Carolina with a Certificate in Radiation Therapy with Clinical education at the Gibb Cancer Center in Spartenburg.

 

Linda is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working at the University of Colorado Hospital since December 2007.

 

Karen Dollar BHS, R.T. (R) (CT) (T) ARRT), Radiation Technologist/CT

 

Karen graduated in May 1999 from the Community College of Denver with an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Radiography.

 

In May 2006, Karen obtained her board license for CT (Radiography) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

 

Karen completed the Certificate in Radiation Therapy program in July 2009 from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas with clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

She is studying for the examination in September 2009 to become board certified in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

 

She has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since May 2005.

 
 

Christina Follweiler  RT (R) (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Christina obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging at Misericordia University, Dallas, Pennsylvania in 2001 with Clinical education at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

 

She graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with the Certificate in Radiation Therapy in 2007 with Clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Tina is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since 2007.

 

Cinira Johnson  RT (R) (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Cinira graduated from the Community College of Denver in May 2007 with a Certificate in Diagnostic Radiography with Clinical education at University of Colorado Hospital and Porter Hospital, Denver.

 

Cinira obtained her Certificate in Radiation Therapy from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas in July 2008 with Clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

She is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since August, 2008.

 

Cinira is Brazilian by birth and holds a “juris doctor” (JD) qualification by Brazilian law.

 
 

Theresa Johnson  RT(R) (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Theresa graduated in May 2008 from the Community College of Denver with an Associate's Degree of Applied Sciences in Radiologic Technology, with clinical training at The Children’s Hospital of Denver.

 

In June 2009, she completed her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Radiation Therapy at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Theresa is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department July 2009.

 

 

 

Joe Martinez RT (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Joe graduated from the Community College of Denver in 1979 with Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy with Clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Joe is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since 1979.

  
 

Mary L. Mrozek  RT (R) (T), Lead Radiation Therapist

 

Mary graduated from All Saints Episcopal Hospital Radiography Program in 1988 and was given the Mallinckrodt Award for outstanding academic achievement.

 

She obtained the certificate in Radiation Therapy at the Moncreif Radiation Center located in Fort Worth, Texas in 1991.

 

Mary is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since January 2001.

 

Mary is Lead Therapist at the Tomotherapy Center of the University of Colorado Hospital, situated in Lone Tree, Colorado.

 

She has successfully completed her undergraduate degree in business at the University of Denver, with magnum cum laude honors.

 

She is currently enrolled with the University of Denver studying for a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration.

 

 

Aaron Rodriguez  RT (R) (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Aaron obtained the Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences from the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, Orlando, Florida in May 2003 and qualified as a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiography.

 

He obtained the Certificate in Radiation Therapy from the Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach Florida in June 2005.

 

Aaron is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since May, 2009.

 
 

Terri Schuchman  RT (T), Radiation Therapist

 

Terri graduated from Community College of Denver with a Associate Degree in 1975 with Clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Terri is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since 1975.

 

She is the longest serving staff member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Colorado Hospital

 

 

 Dai Tran   RT (T), Radiation Therapist

  

Dai attended the Radiation Therapy Program at Argosy University in Eagan, Minnesota, with Clinical education at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN, St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and the University of Colorado Hospital at Anschutz Medical Campus. 

 

Dai graduated in May 2007 with an Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy. 

 

He is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since 2008.

  

Joseph Vogel  RT (R), Radiation Therapist

 

Joe obtained the Associate Degree of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology at the Community College of Denver in May 2008 with clinical education at Denver Health Center and Presbyterian /St Lukes Medical Center.

 

In July 2009 Joe graduated from the Community College of Denver with a Certificate in Radiation Therapy with Clinical education at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

He is currently studying to become board certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist.  Joe has been employed with UCH since 2009.
