Jennifer Backus, Medical Dosimetrist
Jennifer
obtained a Bachelor of Science Diploma in Radiologic Technology at the
University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota with a Certificate in Clinical
Radiography from the St. Alexius Medical Center School of Radiologic
Technology, in 1999.
In
2000, she obtained a Certificate in Radiation Therapy from the Mayo School of
Health Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota.
Jennifer
took a position as Radiation Therapist at the University of Colorado Hospital
in September 2000.
In
2007, she registered with the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse, Wisconsin for
the Certificate of Medical Dosimetry and graduated in 2008.
Jennifer
is currently employed as a Medical Dosimetrist and is board certified with both
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Medical Dosimetry
Certification Baard.
Wayne Dzingle, Medical
Dosimetrist
Wayne qualified
as a Radiation Therapist in 1989. He has been working in Dosimetry since 1999
and obtained the Certificate in Medical Dosimetry in 2006.
Wayne is
board certified with both the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and
the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
Nicole Ryan, Medical
Dosimetrist
Nicole obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Physics from California State Polytechnic University , Pomona, California in
June 2007. In December 2008, she graduated from the Loma Linda University, Loma
Linda, California with a certificate in Medical Dosimetry.
Nicole is board certified with the Medical
Dosimetry Certification Board and has been working as a Medical Dosimetrist at
the University of Colorado Hospital since January, 2009.
Scott Stoehr, Medical Dosimetrist
Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Radiation Science with Highest Distinction from the University of Nebraska
Medical Center, Omaha in August 2006 with Clinical education at the Nebraska
Medical Center, Immanuel Hospital, Bergan-Mercy Hospital, Creighton University
Medical Center and Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
He received his Associate of Applied Science degree with
High Distinction from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska in June,
2005 with Clinical education at Bryan LGH Medical Centers and St. Elizabeth
Hospital. Lincoln, Nebraska
Scott is board certified by the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists and by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board. He
has been working in the Radiation Oncology Department since 2006.
Dale Thornton, Medical
Dosimetrist
Dale
graduated from the Cross Center Institute in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in
1984 with a Certificate in Radiation Therapy Technology and is certified as a
Radiation Technologist through the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation
Technologists (CAMRT).
In
1993, Dale was certified with the Medical Dosimetry Certification
Board (USA) and passed the Advanced Certificate
examination through the CAMRT in 1995.
On
moving to the United States, Dale passed the examination to become board
certified through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in 1995.
While
working in Michigan from 1994 - 2004, (1994-1999 at the Detroit Medical Center where
Dale gave lectures for the Wayne State Medical Physics
program and from 2000-2004 Dale worked at the Van Elslander Cancer Center,
Grosse Pointe, Michigan).
Dale
has been employed as a certified medical Dosimetrist at the University of
Colorado since 2006.
