The clinical sites are designed to provide a broad and diverse experience for trainees. Fellows train in both a safety-net hospital and in an upscale  residential substance treatment program. They also see patients in a variety of settings: emergency department, community settings, inpatient wards, the jail, outpatient clinics and residential treatment.

Denver Health and Hospital Authority
Denver Health is a large, urban, safety net hospital that provides care to over 20% of Denver residents. Denver Health has a long affiliation with the University of Colorado and provides care in multiple settings, including jails, schools, and clinics throughout the city.

Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR)
The Center for Dependence and Addiction Recovery provides upscale residential substance treatment. CeDAR integrates 12-step, medical and psychiatric approaches to provide comprehensive treatment. CeDAR is also affiliate with the University of Colorado.

 

 

The Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS)
The addiction Reserach and Treatment Services program has a long history of providing evidence-based care to many people.  About 3,000 people receive addiction treatment at ARTS annually.  ARTS progams include:
1) Addiction are for pregnant women and new mothers at the Haven House ((http://www.artstreatment.com/our-services/women-s-residential)).
2)Outpatient and residential treatment for adolsecents at Synergy (http://www.artstreatment.com/our-services/adolescent-services).  Treatment offered in the outpatient setting includes te Adoslescent Community Reinforcement Approach (ACRA), Multisystemic Therapy (MST) and Assertive COmmunity Care (ACC).  The residential treatment follows a therapeutic community approach adapted for adolescents. 
3) Medication-assisted treatments (http://www.artstreatment.com/our-services/medication-assisted-therapies).  ARTS provides bupernorphine, methadone, naltrexone and other medication-assisted treatments to adults in various clinics located throughout the Denver metro area.
4) Therapeutic community for men (http://www.artstreatment.com/our-services/men-s-residential).  This program, called Peer 1, provides therapeutic community services for men involved in the criminal justice system.
