The University of Colorado Health-Outpatient Psychiatry Program employs a variety of mental health professionals and treatments to deliver the best care for psychiatric patients. As a teaching hospital, the program incorporates the newest forms of treatment to ensure effective results. Our senior faculty psychiatrists (noted for their expertise and experience) supervise all psychiatry residents, interns and other students. Patients will receive services according to the latest medical research and technology, coupled with personalized and respectful care

We Provide: 

  • Comprehensive, evidence based, outpatient psychiatric and neuropsychiatric evaluation and diagnosis.
  • Patient services for children, adolescents, and adults 18 years of age and older, including geriatic patients.
  • Traditional time-billed psychotherapy.
  • Medication Services (Psychopharmacology).
  • After-hours coverage for established patients.

Initial Evaluation

 Comprehensive Expert Evaluations

​Comprehensive expert evaluations are ideal for patients with:
  • New onset of a psychiatric or neuropsychiatric disorder
  • Complex psychiatric, behavioral, emotional, or psychosocial problems
  • Conditions where the diagnosis is unclear
  • Illnesses that have proven resistant to standard therapies
  • Questions about treatment that require a second opinion
  • Situations involving a combination of substance abuse and psychiatric disorders

Established Patients: 
  • Urgent issues:  If needing to be addressed before the next business day, please call 303-724-1000 to contact the on-call psychiatrist.
  • Non-urgent issues: Please use your My Health Connection fo a quicker response from your provider.

New Patients:  If you have not completed your initial comprehensive assessment and are in need of assistance prior to the next business day, please call Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-TALK (8255).
