The University of Colorado Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry Service offers a wide range of high-quality mental health services to patients as well as support for their families. Our programs utilize the world class expertise of the Department of Psychiatry faculty and residents and our partnership with medical specialists from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Our expert psychiatrists, psychiatric residents and mental health professionals:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis.
- Offer individual evidence-based psychotherapy, couples, family therapy and psychopharmacological treatment.
- Treat conditions such depression, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit disorder, trauma, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other mental health conditions of adolescence and children.
The University of Colorado Hospital - Outpatient Psychiatry Program employs a variety of disciplines and interventions to deliver the latest care for psychiatric patients. As a teaching hospital, the program incorporates the best forms of treatment to ensure effective results.
Our child and adolescent psychiatry clinic offer comprehensive, evidence based, pediatric psychiatry services to patients from infancy up to 18 years old.
These award winning community based programs are designed to offer home-based therapy to children, adolescents and families. The goal of Community Based Psychiatry is to help families make positive behavioral changes and preserve the family structure.
As part of our outpatient services, the refugee mental health program provides mental health care to refugees from more than 20 different countries.
We are a clerkship site for Phase III medical students and offer sub-internships and electives for Phase IV medical students. We also provide a site for social work interns. We can offer outpatient psychiatric electives for medical residents, and we welcome requests for electives from all AMC health professional students and schools.
