The Depression Center’s Director of Women’s Studies and Treatment, Dr. Cheryl Chessick, will lead a panel of experts on this year’s theme of Strategies for Wellness. Former First Lady Jeannie Ritter will moderate the conversation about the predictable cycles of depression and anxiety in a woman’s life, strategies to prevent escalation, when to seek help, and the complex but achievable path to wellness. Christopher Schneck, MD Honored by 5280 Magazine 

Dr. Schneck studies the impact of bipolar disorder on families 

The University of Colorado Depression Center has added the Bipolar Research Program to their research division. Under the guidance of Dr. Chris Schneck, this program examines the impact of bipolar disorder on families.  As a result, the Depression Center is currently focusing on two key projects:
      • examining connections between parents receiving treatment for bipolar disorder and their children

Dr. Allen gives Keynote Address to National Meeting in Australia on October 27 and 28, 2011.

Dr. Allen delivered "The Etiology of Aggression" and "From Control to Care: The Management of Agitation" for the Seventh Annual Forum on Seclusion and Restraint in Adelaide. He also spoke on Bipolar Disorder at the Australasian Society of Bipolar and Depressive Disorders in Sydney and at hospitals in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth. Depression Center Announces Partnership with Real Warriors

The Depression Center is a proud supporter of Real Warriors. The Real Warriors program addresses the mental health and wellness needs of active duty military personnel, members of the National Guard and Reserve, Veterans and their families. The Depression Center will work with Real Warriors to provide assistance and expertise to support their efforts to educate and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
