Nancy Gire, MS, is the Managing Director/Development Director of the Institute for Depression Studies and Treatment and is an affiliate to the Depression Center. She is currently establishing the Institute as a new nonprofit that was formed to support the Depression Center. She is working with the Institute’s Board of Directors, the University of Colorado Foundation, and the Depression Center staff on fundraising activities to support the ongoing operations and programs of the Depression Center, as well as endowment funding.
Nancy Gire was previously at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science where she served as the Director of Foundation and Government Relations. She most recently completed the $10.7 million campaign to support a new permanent health exhibition.
Nancy Gire obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University in 1981 with emphasis in natural resource development planning. Her Master’s Degree is in Soil Science from the University of Minnesota with emphasis in resource planning.
