Michale Kernan joined the Depression Center in 2009. She responds to any inquiries into clinical programs at the Center, coordinates initial visits for new patients, and provides administrative support to clinical operations.
Her background includes training in telephonic crisis intervention and QPR suicide prevention, as well as a birth doula/labor assistant. She previously worked in patient care at an oncology clinic, and as a credentials evaluator at the University of Washington in Seattle. Michale’s professional interests are primarily in the areas of suicide prevention, women’s health, and health education on college campuses.
Outside of work, Michale enjoys exploring Colorado’s mountains and rivers, bird-watching, biking, and studying for exams. Originally from Seattle, she especially appreciates Denver’s 300+ days of sunshine.
