Parkside Clinic

The Parkside Clinic is located in Denver, one block west of City Park.  The clinic is accessible by several bus routes, allowing our patients several transportation options.  The Parkside Clinic offers comprehensive behavioral, psychosocial, and Medication-Assisted Treatment for adult substance abuse patients having a diagnosis of opioid dependence.  The Parkside Clinic is licensed and approved by the DEA, the Colorado Division of Behavioral Health, and was recently given a 3 year CARF accreditation.

The Parkside Clinic staff is comprised of licensed professional and certified addictions counselors who are experts in the use of opiate replacement medications such as methadone and buprenorphine, and who are skilled in the latest in evidence based treatment interventions aimed at helping patients identify triggers for relapse and developing skills to use in order to avoid future relapse.  The medical staff consists of dispensing nurses and physicians who are trained in substance abuse and psychiatric diagnosis and medications.  Patients are assessed on a daily basis by the nursing staff, and have access to a physician for ongoing medical and laboratory evaluations and medical appointments with the physician to discuss their medication efficacy, and any possible interactions with other medications.  Other medications such as Antabuse and Vivitrol may also be used to help patients who also have a diagnosis of alcohol dependence.

Upon completion of a comprehensive evaluation, a treatment plan is developed with the patient incorporating the patient’s strengths, needs, abilities and preference in regards to their substance abuse.  Counseling services offered consist of both individual and group therapy.  Services are designed to support the recovery, health, and well-being of the patient and their families, and return and enhance the quality of life of the patient.  Random urine drug screening is used as a treatment tool and results are addressed with the patient as a way to intervene in their drug use behavior.  Intensive Outpatient services are also offered as well as substance abuse treatment for medical professionals.

The Parkside Clinic is open for medication dispensing from 5:30 am to 9:30 am and 10:00 to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 5:30 to 9:30 am on Saturdays with the same hours for urine testing.   Counseling services are available until 3:30 pm.
