Jessica Gorrono, LCSW is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics and is a Mental Health Clinician in the Kempe Child Trauma Program. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has considerable clinical and program/project coordination and management experience working within multiple systems that serve children and families impacted by trauma. She has held a number of roles including; a child protection caseworker, supervisor and clinician at a pediatric residential treatment center, supervisor and clinician of a home based therapy program working directly with child welfare involved families, and clinical program director of a child advocacy center. Her current work at the Kempe Center includes providing evidence-based treatment to children and families who have experienced trauma and providing training and consultation on trauma and evidence based treatments to child welfare professionals.
