8th Annual Conference on Differential Response

Vail, Colorado Oct. 23-25, 2013

 

​The Kempe Center is pleased to host the 8th Annual Conference on Differential Response in Child Welfare in Vail, Colorado on October 23-25, 2013. This year’s theme, “Differential Response: A Catalyst for Change,”is focused on all of the innovations that fit naturally with implementing a differential response CPS system. We hope you can join us!
 
​The Conference Registration Brochure will be released in May, but here are a few details about the conference to help with your planning needs.
  • Date: A complimentary “Differential Response 101” session will be held in the early evening on October 22nd and the official event will kick-off on the morning of October 23rd. We are offering daylong, pre conference Skills Institutes on October 22nd for an additional fee this year. Details will be listed in the registration brochure.
  • Location: Vail is a beautiful town situated in the Rocky Mountains about 2 hours west of Denver, Colorado. While it is known for its snow-related activities, Vail is a fantastic place to visit anytime of year. Fall, considered a shoulder season in the area, is an especially beautiful time to take in the peace and beauty of the area. The average high temperature for Vail in October is in the 50s with cooler nights averaging in the upper 20s. The conference will take place at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, walking distance (or a complimentary shuttle ride) from shopping and dining in the heart of the village.   • Travel to Vail: Limited airlines serve the local Eagle County Airport (Airport Code: EGE) or you can fly into Denver International Airport (Airport Code: DEN) and rent a car or take a shuttle to the mountains. Colorado Mountain Express is offering our participants a discounted one-way rate of $66 for adults and $42.50 for children under 12 (Reference group booking code: DRC).
  • Cost: Participant Registration is $360 if you register before September 20, 2013. This includes three meals provided during the event. Registration will be available in May.
