Amy E. Sass, MD, MPH, earned her medical degree in 1998 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed her Pediatric Residency at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2001. In 2004, she completed her Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and received her Master’s in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Sass joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2004. She is the Medical Director of the Adolescent Clinic at Children’s Colorado.

Dr. Amy Sass is interested in resident education and is a School of Medicine Teaching Scholar. She is developing a curriculum for multidisciplinary resident trainees in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Sass is also studying an outbreak of vulvar ulcers of unknown etiology in young adolescents. Dr. Sass has received grant funding for her work and sees pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients with gynecologic and contraceptive issues. She also sees adolescent and young adult patients for primary care, complex medical problems, mental health issues, and eating disorders.

Dr. Sass is actively involved in medical education and has been honored for being a Foundations in Doctoring Preceptor. She also received a letter of appreciation from the Pediatric Residency Program Committee for Excellence in Teaching, which was the first time such a letter was awarded by the Committee. Dr. Sass also serves as a peer reviewer for several medical publications.
