Faculty and Staff in the Department of Pediatrics

Leading advances in the care of children can be traced directly to the outstanding faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Whether pioneering new ways of caring for patients in our research or practicing hands-on medicine in our teaching hospitals and clinics, our distinguished faculty has helped shape the practice of pediatrics worldwide.  

Pediatric Faculty

We currently have more than 600 full-time faculty members, from instructor to full professor, who:

  • represent more than 20 pediatric subspecialties within our Department's Sections
  • participate in a diversity of pediatric programs
  • may also belong to one of our affiliate hospitals or centers

Few departments can claim a similar diversity of expertise!

Pediatric Clinical Faculty

We are privileged to have 468 volunteer clinical faculty members, most of whom are volunteer health care providers who teach residents, medical students, physician assistants, and nursing students in the hospital, in their private offices, and in outpatient settings.
