Clinical Practice
Dr. O’Brien performs general neurology preliminary consultations for a variety of conditions such as migraine, pseudotumor cerebri, neuropathic pain, peripheral neuropathy, sleep disorders, parkinson’s disease, post concussive syndrome, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, weakness, transient ischemia attacks, CNS lupus, memory loss, and dementia. She also has fellowship sub-specialty training in Epilepsy and evaluates and manages refractory epilepsy patients with medications, VNS treatment and surgical evaluation. She interprets outpatient EEGs and covers our inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit regularly to characterize seizures and guide management as well as engage in evaluation for Ablative Epilepsy surgery. Special interests are management of Pregnant women with Epilepsy.
