Young mom undergoes right heart catheterization to help manage pulmonary hypertension


David Badesch, the director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital [and professor of medicine at CU School of Medicine], said pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure between the right side of the heart and the lungs….“Over time it can lead to failure of the right side of the heart,” he said. “It’s the one time where having a big heart doesn’t necessarily mean a good thing.”
