University of Colorado Cancer Center doctor receives NCCN Young Investigator Award


The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Foundation recently recognized five promising young cancer investigators, including University of Colorado Cancer Center member Daniel Sherbenou, MD, PhD for his proposal entitled “A Patient-Derived Xenograft Model of Multiple Myeloma to Test Anti-CD46 Antibody Drug Conjugate for Curative Potential”.
 
Comprised of 27 cancer centers across the nation, the NCCN develops and institutes standards of care for the treatment of cancer and perform outcomes research. The NCCN Foundation Young Investigator Award will provide $150,000 in funding over a two year period for research expenses to promising cancer investigators across a board range of oncology specialties and areas of interest. This is the sixth year the awards have been given.
