KUSA - For decades, it's been the same trend of people living longer year after year in the U.S.
However, Thursday new numbers show a troubling decline in life expectancy across the country.
Experts at the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center said we could be the first generation where more parents out live their own children because they're developing health problems so early on.
The CDC report details eight out of ten of the leading causes of death went up between 2014 and 2015, including heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimers. During that same time frame life expectancy dropped by a tenth of a percent last year.
