More baby boomers use medical marijuana, but they want their doctors to get wise to the risks and benefits


“From a physician’s standpoint, this study shows the need to talk to patients in a non-judgmental way about cannabis,” Hillary Lum, a co-author of the Colorado study and assistant professor of medicine at the CU School of Medicine, said in a statement. “Doctors should also educate themselves about the risks and benefits of cannabis and be able to communicate that effectively to patients.”
