Denver Health names interim CEO

Denver Health has tapped the head of its public-health department to serve as interim CEO.
Dr. Bill Burman, director of Denver Public Health, will serve in the CEO role until the public hospital agency's leaders find a permanent successor to Dr.Arthur Gonzalez.
Gonzales announced March 30 that he would be retiring as CEO on June 30. DBJ health reporter Ed Sealover has an interview with Gonzales and looks at the circumstances behind his exit here
“Dr. Burman is ideally suited to continue Denver Health’s strategic direction while we perform a national search for a permanent CEO,” said Rus Heise, chair of the Board of Directors of Denver Health. “He has deep experience within the organization, a track record of successful executive leadership and personifies our mission to improve the health of all Denver residents.”
